Rob Butler is a Canadian former professional baseball outfielder, who played in Major League Baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays and the Philadelphia Phillies. He is also a former player with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the Intercounty Baseball League.

Strength & Conditioning

Coach Marcus was born and raised in Toronto and grew up a baseball and hockey fanatic, always up to something athletic.

He was selected in the 3rd Round in the 2010 MLB Draft by his hometown team, the Toronto Blue Jays. Prior to beginning his professional career, he played college baseball at Oklahoma State University and Connors State College. Marcus  played for the Canadian National Baseball Team in the 2008 World Junior Baseball Championship, being named to the tournament All-Star team. He also participated in the 2011 Baseball World Cup, where Canada won the bronze medal, and the 2011 Pan American Games, where Canada won gold.

Marcus understands the deep commitment it takes to play at the highest level, and appreciates where the game has taken him.

Now, Marcus has turned his 8 year professional baseball career into a collection of teachings to help athletes think big, set attainable goals, remove obstacles, and carve their own path towards their goals and dreams in sport – and beyond!

Coach Lee has been a staple in the Leaside Baseball community for the last 8 years. He has trained a wide range of competitive athletes aged 6-21 but has focused predominantly on training players from Leaside’s Elite Baseball Program.

Lee graduated from Humber College’s Sport Management program where he studied a range of sport business courses as well as sport psychology and exercise physiology. He also played 3 seasons with Humber’s Varsity Baseball Program.

Lee specializes in hitting and pitching development but also dedicates a great deal of his efforts to working with athletes on the mental side of the game. He strives to arm his athletes with mental tools and strategies that build confidence and foster a mindset of growth.

Graeham Luttor has been involved in the Leaside Baseball community for the past 5 years. He has experience coaching athletes aged 8-40+ with a focus on training youth. He has experience coaching in Canada, US and Belgium with the MSG Phoenix.

Graeham graduated with a BSc in Sports Management and Business from Midway University(KY) after playing there for 4 years and 1 year at Cumberland University(TN). In 2021 he took his talents overseas, playing in Prague, Czech Republic and for the MSG Phoenix in Belgium. He aims to continue his playing career this summer.

Graeham specializes in hitting and infield with a focus on mechanics and hitting approach. His goal is to not only improve an athlete’s physical skills, but also their mental skills.

Coach Single has been developing his unique approach to motivating athletes for over 25 years by providing mentorship, encompassing fair play, instilling competitiveness, and engaging amplified, well-mannered FUN!

His inaugural year as a coach with the Leaside Baseball Association coaching the 9U AAA 2019 team was testimony to his specific coaching design and techniques as the team won the OBA championship title and has since repeated WINNING the OBA title with the 9U AAA cohort in 2022. Coach Single’s background in film further fuels his enthusiasm, energy, and engagement that he shares with every athlete he activates.

Alex Bornemisa has been working with baseball players all year-round for over a decade now with many going on to succeed at the collegiate level. Alex approaches each athlete from a holistic view, while including strength, speed, nutrition and mental preparation into his training philosophy and programming.
Alex comes from the Durham Region, where he ran a seasonal development program which led to several scholarships to U.S. schools. Alex has coached hundreds of players after a 20 year player career as a Pitcher and Third Baseman.
As a certified strength and conditioning coach and NCCP baseball coach, Alex has a passion for helping players enjoy the game while learning the skills necessary to succeed on and off of the field.

Alex Rabindranath is a Kinesiologist and Personal Trainer with over 10 years of experience. His knowledge and experience help his clients reach their health and fitness needs and goals on any part of their fitness journey whether it be athletic training, rehab, group fitness and education, or learning how to start and incorporate fitness and health into your daily life.

Alex is a Registered Kinesiologist and Trainer, and has studied Kinesiology at York University at a Bachelor and Master’s level. His certifications range from Pre/Post Natal training and care to KettleBell use and programming.

Alex focuses on consistency and quality as the keys to success whether it be 1 on 1, small group training, or teaching. Education and transfer of knowledge in engaging and fun environments define Alex’s training methodology.
